Food was v good but about half a dozen of my mussels were not open so inedible. Service was casual but attentive and wine suggestion was on the mark. My 4th time eating here, 2x dinner and 2x lunch. A wonderful French bistro-best on the UWS. Excellent wine list and we enjoyed perfectly prepared fish and Cornish game hens.

Visiting from Texas. Delicious food. Goat cheese tart, pork tenderloin, French fries and a large plate of side vegetables were all excellent tasting. The cassoulet was very, very good. Poached pear appetizer delicious. Hanger steak good. Pork tenderloin very good. Foie Gras excellent.

Desserts profiteroles, Croquembouche au Caramel were better sounding and looking than tasting - pastry could have been flakier, filling not as succulent as imagined. We ate in the Covid-era pavilion outside and it was nicely appointed with greenery and decent lighting so very pleasant on a mild September evening. The downside was that a bold panhandler approached each table and asked and pestered, berating customers who didn't come across.

I noticed that the waitstaff disappeared inside when she showed up and made no effort to intercede as she worked each table in turn. Comes with the territory, I guess, and perhaps they preferred to let her do her thing and go rather than create a scene but I might consider eating inside next time. Service was largely attentive. Bit of a wait between first drink and food-ordering but once past that, things were fairly smooth. At one point, a server came with what looked like the first half of our meal for 4 but then returned, looking in a state of shock, and abruptly snatched the dishes away with no explanation we had already sampled a couple of frittes.

The main waiter ambled over a little while later and offered little explanation I guess the timing was off for the entrees or they left something off the order. At any rate, no harm, no foul, really The food was good. We had a nice time. Overall, a pleasant experience. Great food, romantic setting, outstanding service! We had booked an earlier reservation outdoors and had to move it out, which they were very nice about, and said we would "work it out" as they were booked at that time.

When we arrived, there were not seats outside, but they gave us each a glass of prosecco while we waited inside. We decided just to eat inside and it was delicious. We had the escargots and the cassoulet. My problem is that I so love the ravioli appetizer and the duck that I find it hard to order anything else!

Food is just fantastic. Love iiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Exellent dinner and service E had our choice of several outside tables and chose one on the corner surrounded by relaxing lighting and green plants. Tony, our waiter, was terrific as was the support staff. Pear with melted blue cheese was an outstanding sharing starter. Cod special was yummy and was well priced. Main courses served with a lovely plate of four assorted vegetables. Good red wine and being with family made It a perfect evening.
