Cities near Chicago. We have had the same waitress a few times and each time she stands over me while I finish my soup so she can put my salad down when she comes to the table. I want to savor it!! Please don't rush me. There is only room for the bowl or salad so please come back. I thought it was a one time thing but it has happened a three times so I have to down the rest of my soup quickly--very odd!

The food is fantastic and there were a lot of new options this visit. I love browsing in the store after my meal. I highly recommend any of the brunch options and the Shanghai Cowboy salad from the lunch menu! Good food, great ambience and the best cappuccino I ever had! Excellent salads. Lovely patio. Overall the food is usually very good but apparently there is a significant problem with the management which has recently changed. My wife received her poached eggs cold, and they were not gracious about replacing them. They wanted to replace only the two eggs and leave the rest of the platter with us. We then complained and begrudgingly they redid the order.

He told us that they serve the poached eggs cold so the avocado does not get hot. This restaurant has a problem not only with management but also with ownership. They are trying very hard to make customers who complain about any aspect of the meal feel uncomfortable. We cannot go back to this restaurant until the ownership changes.

We live near the restaurant and have a long history of visiting them for breakfast and lunch. We are saddened by these changes and hope they developed more empathy for their customers. I am so sorry for my tardy reply as I was traveling. I deeply regret losing my cool with your wife.

We value our clients AND our employees and wish you the very best. We had a reservation I had to ask twice for coffee. Took at least 30 minutes to get a cup of coffee and longer to get our food. Never checked on us again. Fabulous food and service. Every single time the service is a massive disappointment. We would have liked to have had this brought to our attention during your visit so we could have resolved the issue in real time.

However, we have taken the appropriate steps to make the server aware of your note so this does not happen in the future. We hope you choose to dine with us again. Although I reserved an outside table, when we arrived only inside tables were available. The hostess was even able to see in the reservation system that we had booked an outdoor table. We had no choice but to agree to sit inside even though there were empty tables outside.

Ultimately, a party seated outside changed their minds and we switched tables with them. Just a very odd experience. Food was good. The service staff are always extremely friendly, and professional. The menu has a great selection of items and the food is always very fresh and delicious. One of my favorite spots to have lunch in the city. Two longtime friends were looking for a "leisurely lunch" truly fit the bill.

The food was unique and delicious and the ambiance was very comfortable. Our only hitch was getting an itemized bill; however since we are such old friends, splitting the bill was not a problem.
